Doctor's Note FAQ

General Questions

THE FOLLOWING DOCTOR’S EXCUSE INFORMATION IS NOT THE ADVICE OF AN ATTORNEY, AN EMPLOYER OR A REAL DOCTOR. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS LEGAL ADVICE BY ANY MEANS.

This site commonly uses the terms fake doctor notes, doctor note, excused absence, doctor note template, and sick note synonymously. These are all speaking of the same thing.

Doctor excuses are an indication that you’ve seen a doctor and cannot return to work for a certain period amount of time.

Below are some common questions:

I need a note for ______________. Is this possible?

Many people come to our site looking for specific notes for specific illnesses. For example, many people read our site and see that there isn’t a note available for what they need.

Although we have notes for a variety of fictional ‘clinics’, we also have many ‘general’ notes that you can quickly and easily tailor to your specific needs.

These notes include a hospital release form, a general doctors note, general clinic notes, a blank prescription form, and other notes where you can customize the clinic name and specialty. People have found that these notes actually look – in many ways — more legitimate than our other notes.

The choice is yours. Download the notes and find which one you think looks the most fitting for your needs.  We offer many notes in our package so you have the freedom to choose which note works best for you.

How can I change the names on the notes? What about the date?

Our notes are all in MS-Word AND PDF files. Usually you cannot edit a PDF file, but we’ve created ours so certain fields can be editable. The doctor name and the date are customizable on all notes. On some notes you can edit the clinic name.

On most notes, it requires you to write your name and other information by hand onto the note. However, we do have some notes where all of this info is entered before printing.

Lastly — on our pre-signed notes you cannot change the doctors name because the signature is a digital image. However, if you order the pre-signed notes, you’ll also receive the unsigned notes. That way you can sign them yourself if you choose to do so.

NOTE: We highly recommend using the MS-Word notes instead of the Adobe PDF notes.

I just need one one of your notes, not all of them. Can I just get one?

Most of the other sites charge 10 – 20 dollars for  a very average looking SINGLE note.

We guarantee you will not find any notes better than ours! The reason we have many notes in one package is so you’ll have the option to choose the note that is best suited for your needs. We also want to create great value (…and still be able to make a small profit to cover our advertising expense.)

What if my employer calls the number?

First off, we cannot really give you much advice in this area. These notes are for fun only :) .  But as far as employers calling doctor’s notes — it is a rare occurrence. If they DO choose to call the number (which is rare), they cannot ask much due to recent medical privacy laws. More more info on this, please review our other FAQ by clicking here.

You can also change the number to any number you want. Remember, these notes are customizable.

What does a doctor note look like? I want to see a copy of one of your notes.

We do not want to show our notes too closely because we do not want people to copy them… or the people you’re ‘tricking’ to see them. But you can click here to see a distant image of what thedoctors notes look like.

We’ve designed these notes to be very limited in quantity and exposure. We do not want them to leak out to irresponsible people.

Is this software?

No, this is not software. Its a simple package of files that you can open with Adobe Reader or any .doc compatible word processing program. It will be fully compatible on your PC or Mac.

I want to customize my note – the names, the address of the clinic and so forth. HOW FLEXIBLE are your notes?

If you use the MS-Word versions of our notes, they are 100% flexible.

How do I receive the notes?

As we clearly stated on the sales page, the notes are sent to you via a link. You click the link and download the notes onto your computer. You then open the file and can load any of the notes into Adobe Reader and/or Microsoft Word. You likely have these programs already on your computer.

Which of your doctor’s notes works the best?

Its hard to say. Our doctor notes are for entertainment use only.

Some are more convincing than others. We actually recommend some of our more simplified notes. Many docs simply scribble a note on a local notepad. We have several excuse notes that are inspired by these.

Is this site a scam?

Absolutely not. If you’re skeptical of our site — that is understandable. The internet can be a dangerous place. But all of our transactions are processed by CartFreak, our secure shopping cart. They are 100% secure. If you are not satisfied with our product or cannot view our notes, please email us. If you’re still not happy, you can process refund through them.

Is this site a joke? How can I take it seriously?

This site is meant to be humorous, however, our products look very authentic. We encourage you, however, to not use our notes for illegal purposes. Please review our disclaimer before purchasing.

How can I make a fake doctor’s note without buying one?

Its very hard without referring to a real doctor note and having graphic design skills. Do not take the risk.

How can I learn how to create my own doctors excuse?

We do not recommend trying to make a doctors excuse on your own.

I just ordered your downloadable excuse notes package and I received NOTHING! I am upset! What gives?

Sorry about that. That happens sometimes, but very rarely. Just email us here and I will send you the download link to the notes ASAP.

One of your notes says PA on it! I dont live in Pennsylvania — how do I edit this?

PA stands for Professional Association. Many clinics and law firms use this after their titles.
