Fake doctor’s notes has become very common nowadays. Just google the words “doctor’s notes” and in comes an overwhelming number of websites offering these medical certifications. However, whether the person acquiring is really sick or not, these doctor’s notes are actually fake. They are fake because they can be acquired by simply going online and getting a medical certification by paying through the credit card, without actually being seen by a doctor. Although some employers could be deceived by these doctor’s notes, there are strict ones that could not easily be deceived.
For those who do not know how to spot the difference, below are some tips on how fake doctor’s notes could easily be identified. Firstly, people who came from an illness would commonly retain some of their symptoms when they return to work. In the absence of this, there is reason to doubt. As an example, a person who has been one week absent from say, influenza, may lose some weight due to lack of appetite or sleep. If he looked quite normal, then maybe its a vacation and not an illness he had during that week long absence.
Another way is by observing the work of somebody coming from a sickness. A person faking his illness would act sick by not finishing or being slow with doing his work. Ironically, someone who was really sick would be working more ardently to show that he is not faking it.
Lastly, and a more sure fire way of finding out if the employee is deceiving the employer with his sickness is by actually calling the doctor, whose name and contact details would surely be on the doctor’s note. You may ask details from the doctor and find if it coincides with the details in the note.
